After making the Life Skills manuals available in November last year, we are happy to announce that the Science teacher training manuals (in Khmer and English) are now also ready for download from the VVOB Cambodia website.
The manuals were developed in cooperation with the Regional Teacher Training Centre (RTTC) of Kandal and MoEYS during the SEAL programme of VVOB Cambodia. They are intended for pre-service teacher training but can also be used by teachers at lower secondary schools in Cambodia. All materials were revised and approved by MoEYS and are in line with the national curriculum. Printed copies were distributed in 2012 and 2013 to all six RTTCs and 39 practice schools. In addition a low-cost, black&white version was printed for wider dissemination beyond the SEAL programme's direct target groups.

All science teacher trainers of the six RTTCs of Cambodia and teachers of 39 practice schools received training and follow-up support in the use of these manuals. This was complimented with other teaching aids such as material for experiments, posters, concept cartoons and audio-visual resources.
