From December 12-15 three VVOB Cambodia staff members visited their counterparts in Hanoi, Vietnam. The main purpose of the visit was to learn from each other's work, in particular the implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks. Both programmes focus on teaching methodology, integrating ICT in teaching and environmental education. However, differences in context and other strategic choices have resulted in a rather different approach.  

The visit highlights four main differences:

1. Starting from content versus starting from methodology

2. Working with pilot phase or involve target group from start of project

3. Primacy of product or process

4. Focus on one educational level or involve schools and/or communities

The visit provided a rich learning experience. A counter-visit is planned for the first quarter of 2012.
